How To Be A 4-H Member 2019-20

PLEASE WAIT UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1ST TO ENROLL ANY 8 YEAR OLD ENTERING 3RD GRADE, IF YOU DO IT BEFORE THEN THEY WILL BE CONSIDERED A CLOVER BUD. 

The Texas 4-H Youth Development Program offers many opportunities for both youth and adults to experience     4-H at the local, county, district, state, national, and international level!  All youth and adults wanting to join 4-H must enroll annually. 4-H Enrollment is conducted online at texas.4honline.com

To maintain the level of programming and opportunities in the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program, an annual participant fee is necessary for each 4-H member. The participant fee is $25. For members and $10. for volunteers. 

Member enrollment fees go up to $30.00 beginning Nov. 1st.

ENROLLING ON 4-H CONNECT

You have never enrolled on 4-H Connect.

  1. Click Here: 4-H CONNECT
  2. Click “I need to setup a profile”.
  3. Select “Terry” from the drop down menu.
  4. Fill in the fields marked Email, Confirm Email, Last Name and create a password you will remember.
  5. Select “Family” on the Role drop down menu.
  6. Click “Create Login”
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to register your family and all family members involved in a 4-H club as a member or volunteer (including adults). Fields marked in bold are required.Your registration will be submitted to the County Extension Office, where an agent will review your application. If you have to make any corrections, we will contact you by email. Once completed, we will approve your enrollment.
  8. After your enrollment is approved, you may be registered for an event.

You have enrolled on 4-H Connect in the past, but have not used the system this 4-H year and your status is inactive.

  1. Login to your profile at http://texas.4honline.com using your email address and password.
  2. If you do not know what that is you can reset or call Terry County Extension for assistance. 806-637-4060.
  3. For each member of your family, click on “Edit” and choose “Enroll for 2019-20”
  4. Review and update all profile information.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to enroll each family member.
  6. Your registration will be submitted to the County Extension Office, where an agent will review your application. If you have to make any corrections, we will contact you by email. Once completed, we will approve your enrollment.
  7. After your enrollment is approved, you may be registered for an event.

STOCK SHOW CONCESSION STAND INFORMATION:

The Terry County Stock Show will be Thursday, January 10 – Saturday, January 12.  The Concession Stand is the largest fundraiser for Terry County 4-H.  The funds raised benefit all members in all local 4-H projects, and working a shift in the concession stand counts as a fundraiser, one of the requirements for the end-of-year trip.

Please review the attached concession stand schedule, and let Judy Besler know which shift(s) you will be able to work.  Her email address is: bjbesler91@gmail.com.  Or, call or text her at 891-0798.

If your child is showing an animal, you will not miss it!  If you happen to be in the concession stand when your child’s class comes up, you can leave to watch.

Meadow and Wellman do not have school on Friday, January 11.  Please volunteer if you can!

Much work goes into preparing the concession stand.  Members can help on Monday, January 7, 10 a.m. at the Extension office.
